Del Mar Lodge 1350 hosted its annual Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 starting with a meal at 6:00PM and the program at 7:00PM. This was an Open Called Meeting and the public was invited to attend.
The program have a short history of Veterans Day Presentation, a presentation on Freemasonry and the Military, an Awards Presentation to the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi, the Corpus Christi Memorial Service Detachment and Trevino Funeral Homes, and recognition of veterans in attendance.
The three semifinalist that were considered by the Awards Committee were: the Corpus Christi Veterans Band, the Corpus Christi Memorial Services Detachment. Trevino Funeral Homes was announced as the finalist and awarded the Community Builder's Award. The other two semifinalist were awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Outstand Community Service to Veterans of the Coastal Bend. Additionally, John J. Harris Chapter 397 National Sojourners awarded all three organizations with the Spirit of '76 Award.
Refreshments were served after the program, and tours of the Lodge were available to anyone wishing to learn about Freemasonry.
