Vincent “Vince” J. Muscarello, Ed.D. is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from F. T. Nichols High School in May 1967, he began a 33+-year Naval career by enlisting in October of 1967. He advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) and in 1982 received a commission in the U.S. Navy. On January 1, 2001, he retired as a Commander (O-5). He specialized in Marine Engineering and Repair and served in Naval Special Warfare. He then worked as teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal and Specialist for Secondary Curriculum and Instruction for Corpus Christi ISD until he retired August 1, 2010. He has a Texas State Certification for Secondary Social Studies Composite, Principal Certification (K-12), and completed all course requirements for Superintendent. Vince is very active in Freemasonry. He was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in Gulfport Lodge 422 in 1977. He took the Degrees in Scottish Rite Freemasonry and Eastern Star and became a Shriner with Aloha Shrine in Guam in 1977, and took the Degrees in York Rite in Jackson, MS in 1978. He was the Worshipful Master of Del Mar Lodge 1350, President of the Masters, Wardens and Secretary Association for District 37, a twice Past President of John J. Harris Chapter 397 National Sojourner and Chairman of the YLC Awards Program for the Chapter (Sponsors of students to YLC), and Potentate 2017 of Al Amin Shrine in Corpus Christi, Texas. Vince completed his B.S. at The University of the State of New York in May 1982; his M. Ed. in Comprehensive Vocational Education at Temple University in May 1992; his second master’s in Science in Secondary Education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in May 2003, and a Doctorate Degree in Education Leadership at TAMU-CC in December 2007. Vince’s specialization is educating economically disadvantaged and at-risk students. Vince is married to the former Shirley Ann Profitt. Shirley is a retired Human Resources Management Supervisor (GS-13). They are the parents of 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
